Our mother passed away in January after being transferred from another facility to Willow Trace last March. The care that she received and the loving attention paid to her, although she was unaware of her surroundings most of the time due to alzheimer’s Disease, was beyond excellent. She was fed well and her personal needs were met in every way. During her passing, my sister and I were surrounded by the loving administration and staff, most of whom had tears in their eyes when they left the room. The sweet spitit in her room that day will forever be etched in my memory. We were led through her passing with hugs and encouragement that we would most certainly be reunited again. the hugs, tears and absolute love we felt on that day were genuine. Her special nurse, Gloria has been a tower of strength to me. I am always greeted with a hug from her and a word of encouragement. There is no finer facility in the world.

Instead, I will offer my opinion that I did not meet a member of the staff that did not express a heart and spirit for the patients they cared for. That list would include administrator, nursing staff, therapy staff, housekeepers, dietery and engineering staff. I am anxious to be going home but will miss the friends I have met here. I will gladly recommend Grand Boulevard to anyone needing restorative, compassionate care.

The staff ALL exhibit a sense of care and concern for patients no matter whether they are long- or short-term care patients. Highly compassionate, they truly give a sense that they cared about me as a person, and relationships were built (even in the relatively short amount of time I spent there). I especially want the staff members to know how very important it was for my healing process to feel a human connection—and especially since I know there are some patients there who do not have regular (or, any) visitors who care how they are doing. The staff were welcoming, and warm, and if you have to feel your worst away from home, that was the kind of place I would hope exists for anyone.
