September 2020

These past several months have been an extraordinarily difficult time for all of us confronting this global pandemic. These are unprecedented and unpredictable times that have impacted us in ways few could have imagined a year ago. We hope we are reaching the beginning of the end of this challenging time, but we must be prudent and deliberate as we respond and adapt to changing conditions.

Our team has done an incredible job dealing with this health crisis through strong leadership, collaboration, coordination, and an overall spirited approach to caring for those in need. Our company has had a detailed approach and strategy to confront the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety of patients and associates, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Facility Management remain our top priorities during this time. I am so proud of the many amazing and selfless GCHC caregivers who are currently providing this care to residents who are on isolation. Our caregivers are truly today’s HEROES!

I am also so appreciative of the friends and family of our patients who have been kind and understanding about the restrictions and limitations this crisis has imposed on all of us as we care for those most vulnerable to COVID. We appreciate the desire to visit and we want this for our patients as well. We will be following all of the guidelines set by federal, state and local authorities and intend to allow visitation when allowable under these regulations.

We will get through these difficult times together and emerge even stronger! I know that many of you, like myself, will be more grateful and appreciative of the wide array of life treasures we all cherish and have taken for granted at times.
