Awards and recognition testify to Gulf Coast Health Care’s quality of care.
At Gulf Coast, many of our senior-care centers have earned quality awards, accreditation and recognition from a variety of organizations. Together, these show our centers’ and professional caregivers’ commitment to excellent care across the organization.
NRC Health’s Customer Approved Award – A rare distinction and achievement.
In 2019, Gulf Coast Health Care earned NRC Health’s Customer Approved Award. Part of National Research Corporation, NRC Health collects healthcare-consumer data and provides healthcare industries with valuable information, analytics and insights. In May 2019, NRC Health announced that Gulf Coast had earned the award for cultivating an outstanding care experience. This makes us one of just 20 independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care companies across the US to be recognized for excellence by customers through NRC’s 2018 Resident and Family Experience Survey.
Many of our centers have AHCA quality awards.
Many Gulf Coast Health Care centers have earned quality awards from the American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) National Quality Award Program. Based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, centers earn the Bronze award then move on to earn the Silver award, and ultimately strive to earn the Gold award. In the past 10 years, fewer than 4,000 centers have earned the Bronze award (Commitment to Quality). In the same time period, fewer than 800 earned the Silver award (Achievement in Quality). Gold award winners are an elite group of fewer than 40 centers.
Joint Commission accreditation sets our centers apart.
In addition to excellent CMS star ratings, NRC Health’s Customer Approved Award, and our AHCA awards, several Gulf Coast Health Care centers are Joint Commission-accredited nursing homes. This accreditation is an additional mark of the quality of the care we provide. The Joint Commission’s Nursing Care Center Accreditation program recognizes centers’ commitment to consistent, high-quality care for patients and residents and their families, staffs and communities. Accreditation is awarded based on compliance with the Commission’s high standards, other requirements, and continuous improvement activities.
